Please join us for our January Lunch and Learn which will feature Nicole Miller, Chair of the Lake Charles Housing Authority, and Jill Galmarini, Director of Community Initiatives at the Community Foundation, covering the Just Imagine Mid-City Neighborhood Transformation Project.  This month's lunch and learn will be hosted at the SWLA Association of Realtors office located at 791 Bayou Pines E, Lake Charles, LA 70601. 

In 2023 Lake Charles was awarded a 40-million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) as part of the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative (CNI). With these funds along with leveraged partnerships, 38 acres of land will provide high-quality, affordable, energy-efficient housing for mixed-income individuals and families. Join us to learn more about the development and the timeline for construction.
